KEN REMSEN

Ken Remsen, an experienced money manager, teacher, money coach, and moves his WalletWise clients toward financial wellness. He guides them by unpacking their financial picture, creating a plan, and helping his clients carry out the plan. Ken has experience as a trustee for family estates. Ken is a lifelong learner who is an amateur astronomer, a private pilot, and a trusted math teacher.

 

Ken is a native of New York and moved to North Florida with his family in 1970. Ken is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a BA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics (Lots of Finance). Ken and his wife Noreen raised 2 well-adjusted children. Ken has a myriad of business experience. Ken has bought, sold, and appraised real estate. With an interest in photography, he turned his hobby into a business, owning a photography studio in Jacksonville. To give back to his community, he works as a high school math teacher in Clay County.​

 

Ken studies personal finance. "I started as an entrepreneur at 13 with a paper route. Yard Work Service Department added at 14, and by 15 entered the restaurant business as a busboy. I knew what it was like to struggle to put food on the table. By 20, I was a licensed real estate broker."

 

Personal Money Management is more complex than ever. He sees how overwhelming it can be to keep a roof over your head, food on the table, while trying to manage a career and figure out how to save for the future. A whole new world of financial technology and money apps thicken the fog of personal money management. Ken’s goal is to help individuals, couples and families resolve difficult financial problems, create and meet financial goals, lessen stress and improve their quality of life.

 

Ken is completing the Accredited Financial Counselor Course sponsored by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education and is a candidate for their certification, Accredited Financial Counselor, AFC. He is writing a non-fiction book proposal for his completed personal finance manuscript.
